The Canadiens will begin the season on October 14th at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They will play their first road game on October 17th against the Ottawa Senators. The Canadiens will have four preseason games before the regular season begins.

The Canadiens will play 41 home games and 41 road games during the regular season. They will have four games against each of their seven Atlantic Division rivals. They will also play three games against each of the three teams in the Metropolitan Division, two games against each of the three teams in the Central Division, and one game against each of the seven teams in the Western Division.
